Advanced features inside and out make new wireless access point small and powerful

Nov. 4, 2014
The AWK-1131A industrial wireless access point from Moxa Americas, Inc., satisfies the need for high-speed technology and faster data transmission up to 300 Mbps, by meeting the IEEE 802.11n standard.

The unit has advanced features rare in its class of wireless products, starting with galvanic isolation on all interfaces. This increases the unit’s reliability by protecting it from from voltage or other electrical surges. This isolation will protect the units up to 500V.

Additionally, Moxa’s Turbo Roaming allows the units (while in client mode) to quickly roam between access points, ensuring applications such as AGVs moving in a warehouse have an almost constant wireless connection.

Two redundant DC power inputs, enhanced protection for greater noise avoidance and a compact size aluminum housing with IP30 protection further enhance reliability.
