Use your mouse to see all sides of the Beamex MC6 field calibrator and communicator. Click on the "+" signs to see the details of the connections and operational modes. Note the large touch-sensitive display that makes operating the unit easy and intuitive, as well as the convenient shape that makes it easy to handle. Turn it around to see that the pressure connections come out the top while the electrical connections are on the front for convenience.

More than a calibrator, the MC6 works as a meter, calibrator, documenting calibrator, data logger and fieldbus communicator — all in the same device, with each operating mode optimized for different uses, which makes it fast and easy to use, and means carrying less equipment in the field. The unit’s 5.7-inch color touch-screen with a multilingual user interface, robust IP65-rated dust- and water-proof casing, ergonomic design and light weight make it a suitable measurement device for field use in industries including pharmaceutical, energy, oil and gas, food and beverage, service as well as the petrochemical and chemical industries. As a calibrator it has capabilities for pressure, temperature and various electrical signals. As a communicator it provides full functionality for HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus and Profibus PA instruments.

Measurement, generation and simulation functions include pressure measurement, voltage measurement and generation, current measurement and generation, resistance measurement and simulation, RTD measurement and simulation, T/C measurement and simulation, frequency measurement and generation, pulse counting and generation, switch state sensing, built-in 24 VDC loop supply, and field communication for HART, FOUNDATION fieldbus and Profibus PA. In addition, the unit communicates with the company’s CMX calibration software, enabling fully automated and paperless calibration and documentation.

Specifications include pressure accuracy starting from ±(0.005 % FS + 0.00125% of reading), temperature - RTD temperature measurement accuracy starting from ±0.011 °C and electric current measurement accuracy starting from ±(0.75 μA + 0.0075% of reading).
