Connectors for 8 AWG Wire

Jan. 10, 2012
This new series of industrial electrical connectors takes the concept of no-tool-required spring clamps to connector sizes accommodating 8 AWG wire.

Mencom Corp. (www.mencom.com) now offers the Mixo series CX-04-XF(M) & CX-3/4 XDF(M) 40 amp connectors. ILME has developed two new modular inserts ideal for higher current applications where finger safe contact pins are required. A noteworthy aspect, these new MIXO 40 amp inserts will accommodate an 8 awg wire, keeping in accordance with NEC requirements for 40 amp circuits.

The CX-3/4- XDF(M) use the CXF(M)A contact pins to provide (3) 40amp connection points, while also offering (4) 10amp contact points for signal using the CCF(M)A contact pins.
The CX-04-XF(M) provides (4) 40amp connection points using the CXF(M)A contact pins.
The high quality machined contact pins provide highly reliable and vibration-safe connections.
The contact pins in both the male and the female inserts are shrouded to protect against accidental contact.
