Battery-Powered Vortex Shedding Flowmeters

Print
FILED IN:  Flowmeters
The seven battery-powered CoolPoint vortex shedding flowmeters are for water and low viscosity fluids where there is no power located nearby or in which it would be cost-prohibitive to wire the monitoring station.

The flowmeters run on 3 AA alkaline batteries or lithium batteries with an expected battery life of six months with the alkaline batteries or two years with lithium. The units have no moving parts to wear or clog and indicate flow rate or total on an LCD screen. The flowmeters range in size from 1/4 inch to 2 inches with maximum flow ranges from 4 to 200 gpm, maximum pressure of 300 psi, and temperature ranges from 32 to 210 ºF. Users may select the flow to be expressed in gallons, liters or cubic meters per minute. The units offer the following standard features of the company's other flowmeters: brass or 316 stainless steel body with Viton seals and PVDF sensors, flow repeatability of ±0.25 percent, ±2% full-scale accuracy at maximum flow and turndown ratio of 10:1.
