Industrial Defender (www.industrialdefender.com), a provider of security, compliance and change management for automation systems, announced that its Automation Systems Manager (ASM) Monitor solution has been tested and verified for use with the ABB (www.abb.com) 800xA control system. Implementing Industrial Defender compliments ABB 800xA by enabling customers to lower the risk of unplanned outages and reduce both operational costs and complexity.
"As a result of our strategic partnership with ABB, Industrial Defender is proud to share the news that after exhaustive testing, ABB has verified Industrial Defender on ABB 800xA control system." said Brian Ahern CEO of Industrial Defender. "Customers considering deployment of Industrial Defender solutions, can now do so with the confidence it will not impact system performance and receives the full support of ABB."
The Industrial Defender ASM solution integrates asset management, event management, configuration change management, policy compliance, endpoint security, and reporting into one solution. With a unified view across their heterogeneous operations environment, ABB customers can leverage their existing investments while improving their overall automation systems management.
According to ABB's Tobias Becker, head of ABB's Control Technologies business, "Control system security is a critically important issue for our customers; this additional capability enhances 800xA's strong system security foundation. Industrial Defender's ASM Monitor solution provides expanded situational awareness with security event monitoring centrally across all plant systems and assets that will give our customers even more security protection for their system."
Industrial Defender ASM technologies are available to ABB customers through a strategic partnership.
