Enhanced Flow Metering

Print
The new CFT51 Digital Coriolis Mass Flow and Density Transmitter introduces required online validation capability and pressure compensation for high-pressure, high-accuracy applications.

The updated transmitter uses HART or Modbus protocol for remote
communications, as well as digital signal processing (DSP) techniques
that optimize flow meter performance and improves transmitting, the
company says. The patented DSP techniques allow for continuous two-phase
measurement, partial empty tube conditions, start-from-empty batching
online flowtube verification and online pressure compensation.

The system also features user-configurable, externally powered I/O types
isolated from each other, such as analog current output and alarm,
frequency or scaled pulse output, and contact output and input. The
transmitter is backward compatible to existing CFS10 and CFS 20 flowtube
installations and certified for use in hazardous area locations.
Enclosure meets NEMA 4X and IEC IP66/67 ratings.

Applications include oil & gas, transportation and shipping.
