Nearly every conversation about industrial Ethernet includes some discussion of security. Mike Miclot is currently the Vice President of Marketing, Industrial Solutions Division at Belden Americas Group. In this role, Mike leads the strategy formation and go-to-market planning and execution in support of Belden's Industrial Cable products as well as Hirschmann, Lumberg, GarrettCom, PAT, and Kruger brand solutions. Mike joined Belden in April, 2009 as the Vice President and General Manager of the Industrial Connectivity Unit in the Americas Region. Prior to that, Mike worked for Rockwell Automation (then Allen-Bradley) from 1990 to 2009. There he held a variety of Marketing, Sales, and Engineering roles over his nineteen year tenure. He was the Director of Commercial Programs for the $2B Automation Control & Information Group in 2005-2007; Business Manager for the Low-Voltage Drives business 2007-2008; and Business Manager for the Visualization business 2008-2009. Mike earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo and his MBA in International Marketing from Cleveland State University. He is based in Belden Americas Group headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Brian Oulton is currently the Director of Marketing, Industrial Vertical in the Global Sales and Marketing Group at Belden Inc. In this role, Brian provides leadership for Belden's global strategy formation and marketing efforts across all brands in the industrial and transportation spaces. His current work includes industrial network infrastructure, industrial Ethernet, security, and wireless. Brian joined Belden in November 2011. Prior to that, Brian worked for Rockwell Automation (formerly Allen-Bradley) from 1985 until 2011. There he held a variety of positions, including Strategic, Commercial & Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Training and various management positions. In his most recent role, he was Director, Networks Business responsible for company-wide strategy and execution with networked products accounting for over half of the company's ~$6B in annual sales. Brian earned his bachelor's degree in Business Management from Hiram College and his Associate of Science in Electronic Technology from ETI. He is currently based at Belden's corporate headquarters in Saint Louis, Missouri.
