New Products in the Spotlight at Honeywell Users Group Americas Symposium
"We are not just another DCS vendor," proclaimed Honeywell Process Solutions President Jack Bolick during his keynote at the annual user gathering in the desert heat of Phoenix on June 16. The point is that fully a third of revenues comes from service, project management and other knowledge work. Approximately 700 end user customers gathered for the opening also heard the end user leaders of the User Group extol the many values derived from customers working with their vendor. New rules of biology
I must have had 20 tabs open in Firefox with stuff I've read and wanted to blog. Don't really have time, but I need to get through some of this stuff. By the way, are you ready for Big Tuesday? That's the day you can download Firefox 3. They want to make it the biggest download day in Web history. Don't know if I'll be part of the history, since I'll have to catch a 6:30 am shuttle from Pointe Hilton to the Biltmore for the Honeywell User Group sessions.

The music, and now the movie, industry is struggling with the ramifications of what happens to "content" on the Internet. Actually the debates also rage around print media, as well. What is happening is that content (or creative works, including this blog) is becoming free (as in beer, I guess).
