Flowmeters Measure Green House Gas

A line of mass flowmeters is certified by the vendor for Green House Gas (GHG) reporting. The meters conform to the new EPA rule (40 CFR Part 98), which mandates that as of Jan. 2, 2010, companies in the United States that emit more than 25,000 tons/year of CO2-equivalent must report GHG emissions. The GHG-certified mass flowmeters provide an economical way to totalize methane or natural gas burned, enabling the calculation of CO2-equivalent emissions, says the vendor. The three most popular GHG-certified thermal mass flowmeters are the Boiler-Trak, Model 640S and Model 780S... Read more

Mount RFID Tags on Metal

As part of the vendor’s BIS M series of RFID products, a direct metal-mount or M-M RFID system is designed to provide tough industrial track-and-trace capability using a non-contact, ISO 15693-compliant passive data carrier technology. This technology allows the RFID tag to be mounted directly on any alloy or metal surface without the typical interference or loss in range. M-M tags and heads offer a range of 52mm to 65mm regardless of the alloy content of the metal, including aluminum, says the vendor... Read more

UPS Restarts IPCs

Designed for use with industrial PCs (IPCs), the Trio-UPS uninterruptible power supply automatically restarts an IPC in the event of an extended power outage. This eliminates the need for maintenance personnel to physically restart the IPC on the factory floor. With the Trio-UPS’s adjustable DC voltage output time function, the IPC can continue operating through short interruptions of mains power. The charge unit and 5A power supply are housed in a single DIN rail-mountable package... Read more

Point-and-shoot Temperature Measurement

The high-performance, handheld OS-DT8855W infrared thermometer is a non-contact temperature measurement instrument that features a laser circle/dot sight. The patented laser sighting system defines the target for point-and-shoot measurement of temperatures from -50°C to 1370°C (-58°F to 2498°F) and reads surface temperature in less than a second...
