FEATURED PODCAST

Podcast: Automation Minutes with Mark Lewandowski, P&G

Gary Mintchell, Editor in Chief, talks to Mark Lewandowski, Machine Controls Technology Leader in Corporate Engineering for Procter & Gamble, about risk assessments and P&G's view on risk assessments in relation to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). Mark Lewandowski will present, "Why Procter & Gamble Requires Risk Assessment Data from Machine Builders," at Safety Automation Forum, Tuesday, November 18, 2008, a Rockwell Automation and Automation World event.

Mark defines a risk assessment as looking at all parts of the machine, all machine actions and examining potential hazards. P&G looks to OEMs to provide valuable risk assessment information for their employees, because in P&G's view, OEMs are the experts and should help creating safety procedures for their machines. Mark and Gary also discuss standards and delve into Mark's presentation for the Safety Automation Forum.
