Industry leaders to gather for a two-day conference on Lean and Six Sigma strategies in manufacturing and services.

Senior executives, as well as professionals from manufacturing and services, are invited to attend “Discovering the Reality of Lean Six Sigma,” scheduled for Dec. 2-3 in Dallas. The event highlights industry sessions, workshops and discussion groups centered on applying the quality methodologies of Six Sigma with the speed-of-business processes of Lean Manufacturing in a combined approach designed to maximize bottom-line returns.

Attendees may choose among focused tracks for manufacturing, healthcare, services and transactional environments. Specific industries represented include: consumer goods, automotive, pharmaceuticals, energy, aerospace and defense, and medical devices.

The event kicks off with a keynote address by Denis Gallagher, worldwide director of Lean thinking for the Consumer & Personal Care Group of Johnson & Johnson, with headquarters in New Brunswick, N.J. Gallagher will present a case study on how to successfully leverage the best of Lean and Six Sigma in a single initiative, giving key insights into the pitfalls and benefits, based on his pioneering experiences at Johnson & Johnson.

The seminar will also offer streamed sessions for beginners/early adopters and intermediate/advanced deployers of Lean and Six Sigma strategies. These sessions will focus on case studies and moving beyond the “low-hanging fruit.”

Pre-conference workshops will be offered on Dec. 1, and will cover variation reduction, conquering complexity, and building a measurement system to reduce cycle times.

To register for the event, call 1-800-959-6549 or 1-312-466-5774; FAX 1-800-959-6561 or 1-312-873-4331; or e-mail: register@wcbf.com. Register on-line at www.wcbf.com/quality/5007.
