Content Type Continuous-flex FireWire cables can be used for machine vision applications with long transmission distances of up to 20 meters.
Industrial standard FireWire cables can fail prematurely over long distances because they are not designed with constant flexing in mind. By contrast, the vendor’s Firewire cable combines its specially constructed Chainflex CFBus.055 FireWire cable and its Energy Chain cable carriers. CFBus.055 FireWire is designed for continuous-flexing and tight bending radii inside a cable carrier. Its bus pairs and supply wires are twisted together with flexible shields and an optimized pitch length. The gusset-filling extruded, flame-resistant, TPE outer jacket is designed to provide the protection the cable needs to prevent core ruptures. The FireWire cable is tested to more than six million flex cycles.
