The xMES software suite of composite applications aims to streamline recipe management, manufacturing execution and electronic batch recording for SAP users in the pharmaceutical and process industries.

It does this by leveraging existing functionality within the SAP system, such as the master data in SAP R/3, and extending the reach of SAP into the manufacturing plant floor environment. Powered by SAP NetWeaver, the suite includes xRecipe, a solution that standardizes the creation and management of recipes in SAP PP-PI through a graphical drag-and-drop user interface; xMES engine for powering the execution of recipes; and xBatch, enabling the capture of electronic batch records. All enable full reporting and analytics through SAP MII based on industry standard key performance indicators (KPIs).
