Content Type  More power at your fingertips. Users of the 375 Field Communicator have four new upgrade options, ranging from replacement of older batteries for a long-life Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) type, to increased memory for device descriptions.
The four upgrade options are designed for optimal performance. First, upgrading to Version 2 software reduces boot time and increases battery life. At the same time, it reduces the time to connect with HART devices by 35 percent and enhances graphic capabilities that allow trends, bar charts, gauges and images. Version 2 also brings several significant improvements to the 375’s Foundation fieldbus application, including diagnostics and simplified mode changes.

The second upgrade is a memory upgrade to 1 gigabtye (GB) to support the more than 1,000 existing device descriptions plus gain overhead for adding future ones. Third, moving to a Li-Ion batter effectively doubles battery life on a single charge. Finally, users can renew Easy Upgrade for access to all device descriptions and software upgrades on the Web.

The 375 Field Communicator is the industry-leading intrinsically-safe handheld communicator, with universal support for all HART® and FOUNDATION™ fieldbus devices.
