Content Type  The MCP-1200 motion control IC was developed to replace existing HCTL-1100 designs by remaining backwards compatible and plug-in ready.
This follows the end-of-life notice from Avago that makes the HCTL-1100 obsolete. New and existing applications can take advantage of a new set of motion control features by enabling the MCP-1200’s enhanced mode. The ICs are a single-axis motion control solution for both servo and stepper motors that can be synchronized with multiple chips for multi-axis applications. Available in PLCC 44-lead packaging, the MCP-1200 is priced at $16.10 in 1,000-unit quantities.
