The Safe Remote Control Pro from Fort Robotics enables users to command multiple machines from a distance while also offering a built-in SIL 3–certified emergency stop button. The Safe Remote Control Pro is a rugged gaming-style controller that can be paired with up to 30 machines and can be used to take temporary control of autonomous vehicles. The remote uses Bluetooth Low Energy for short-range applications and an ISM radio band for longer ranges. As an additional safety feature, the remote also features drop, orientation and abandonment detection, which will pause a machine or vehicle if the remote is incorrectly handled. Additional features include various protections from cybersecurity threats, CANOpen programming, IP65 housing and an 18-hour battery life.
