The serial ports can be accessed over a LAN or WAN using Direct IP Mode connections. The gateways support up to 16 masters and 32 slaves and feature auto-detecting 10/100 copper and fiber optic options. The Modbus EthernetSerial Servers include the MESR424D with two RJ45 Ethernet and four RS-232/422/485 DB9 ports; the MESR424D-MT with one RJ45 Ethernet, one multi mode ST Ethernet and four RS-232/422/485 DB9 ports; the MESR424D-SC with one RJ45 Ethernet, one multi mode SC Ethernet and four RS-232/422/485 DB9 ports; the MESR424T with two RJ45 Ethernet and four RS-232/422/485 terminal block ports; the MESR424T-MT with one RJ45 Ethernet, one multi mode ST Ethernet and four RS-232/422/485 terminal block ports; and the MESR424T-SC with one RJ45 Ethernet, one multi mode SC Ethernet and four RS-232/422/485 terminal block ports. Suggested applications are in industrial, oil & gas, and energy industries.
