Content Type  The PC based HART Communicator now offers the capability to communicate at the Device Description level to fully utilize all the menus, variables and methods within a device.

The PC based HART Communicator has been around for many years, but until recently it has not been able to replace the hand held HART Communicator. The main reason was that it could not communicate at the Device Description (DD) level with all devices in the DD library.

The HART Communication Foundation (HCF) identified the need for a standard PC based interface in the DD library. They came up with the SDC-625 Smart Device Communicator and it uses the DD binary files just like a hand held HART communicator. Find out more details on how the PC based HART Communicator could be a solution for your instrumentation needs.
