Self-tuning Coriolis Flowmeter

April 1, 2005
The Optimass Series 7000 is a single-straight tube Coriolis mass flowmeter designed to offer no-hassle installation and superior performance.

The meter meets stringent hygienic requirements for food and pharmaceutical applications, says the vendor, and complies with industry standards including ASME Bioprocessing equipment, EHEDG, 3-A and FDA. Using patented Adaptive Sensor Technology, the Optimass Series 7000 intelligently “tunes” itself, independent of external forces and fluid density, to produce an inherently balanced meter. It delivers accurate metering for a range of flow rates in seven different full-bore tube diameters ranging from 1/4 inch to 3 inch. The Optimass Series 7000 is approved for use in hazardous environments, and the single straight-tube design is resistant to blocking or fouling, allowing it to handle high viscosity fluids, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, even in the presence of entrained air, says the vendor.
