Invensys executive Ken Brown has been named acting president of Foxboro, Mass.-based automation solution supplier Invensys Process Systems. Brown replaces former Process Systems President Mike Caliel, who has accepted the position of president and chief executive officer of Houston-based Integrated Electrical Services.
Brown has helped drive accelerated growth at several Invensys business units in recent years. These include both the SimSci-Esscor Simulation Software Group and the Foxboro Measurements & Instruments Group. He previously led the company’s Analytical Instrumentation Group, and has been with Invensys for almost 14 years. He will serve as acting president during an extensive search for a replacement for Caliel.
In his roles as general manager of SimSci-Esscor and Foxboro M&I, Brown helped formulate and execute Invensys Process Systems’ current business strategy that has unified the previously separate Foxboro, Triconex, SimSci-Esscor, and Avantis brands and related services organizations into a single business entity.
