The RIO-47300 pocket PLC is an intelligent I/O controller that uses a RISC processor for handling I/O and logic. The RIO handles up to 400 program lines, 254 variables, 1,000 array elements, six PID control loops and five Ethernet handles. Other standard features include PID process control loops, timers, counters, Web interface, e-mail alerts, data-logging, and the ability to read position and temperature sensors.
The RIO controller can be programmed using a standard two-letter language. Software is available for converting a relay ladder logic into code for input into the RIO controller.
The RIO receives power from an external supply of 18V to 36V dc. LED indicators display all digital inputs and outputs.
