More Motors Faster

July 19, 2004
An expansion of the vendor’s BSM brushless servo motor line means more models available for immediate delivery. The BSM series includes stand and low inertia models, and both models can be provided with a variety of feedback devices.

BSM servo motors use resolvers as the prime feedback device, and customers previously using encoders had a two-week or longer delivery, depending on the encoder. With the expanded stock program including encoders, delivery can now be the same day, the vendor says. Popular servo motors added to stock now include a 2500 ppr encoder as standard. The expansion also includes BSM servo motors with holding brakes. The standard hold brake is +24VDC. Selective servo motors up to continuous stall torques of 300 lb-in with brakes are in stock and delivery is immediate.
