Bosch Rexroth's ctrlX automation system, launched in 2020, has rapidly evolved into an industrial ecosystem known as ctrlX World, partner publication Control Design reports.

The ctrlX operating system, which became the central component in 2022, boasts features such as real-time Linux, open standards, low-code/no-code capabilities, seamless IoT integration and remote-device administration. Currently, more than 1,500 Bosch Rexroth customers globally are utilizing ctrlX automation in various applications.

The system includes a diverse portfolio, from engineering software to motion systems, IoT solutions and safety features. Notably, ctrlX OS is hardware-independent and industrial-grade, with applications extending beyond controls to collaborations with companies like Dell and Nokia for server and cloud applications.
