Virtual Presentation: Using a real-time tracking system to replace paper-based systems, Bush Brothers discovers major packaging line benefits.

In an effort to improve its production operations, Bush Brothers (most famous for its baked beans) needed a better way to track downtime in its plants. Tony Peterson, an operations area manager from the company’s August, Wis., plant describes how Bush Brothers eliminated its paper-based systems, manual entry spread sheets, and slow and tedious data analysis and replaced them with a real-time automated system that has brought measurable improvement in the company’s packaging line productivity. In his presentation at The Automation Conference 2014, Peterson describes the software selection and implementation process used at Bush Brothers, as well as how they are using the system to continuously improve productivity.
