SCADA Client App for iPhone & iPad

June 17, 2011
The mobile workforce army is growing, a total of 70 percent of the American workforce will be mobile in 2012 via the International Data Corporation.  However, mobile manufacturing numbers are low, with large critical infrastructure issues standing in the way.
However, visual production data has been present in manufacturing for quite some time. Now, Advantech is offering a "lite" version of its terminal and Internet Explorer version, WebAccess, in an "app" format. This SCADA app allows users to view alarms, take snapshots of pages showing the current status of dynamic elements, read tag values and a new trend function. This new trend feature monitors datalog trends in a real-time graph and it can be seen in finer detail by using gesture control, a zoom feature. This free app can run on any device running IOS 3.2 or greater and can be found in the Apple App store. An online demo is available via Advantech's web site and an Android version is coming soon.Advantech Co., Ltdwww.advantech.com
