Parallel Robot Extends Envelope

March 5, 2011
An extended-reach model of the high-speed Quattro parallel style robot is designed to expand high-throughput capabilities toward applications with larger work-space requirements.

The Quattro s800H is specifically designed for high-speed applications in packaging, manufacturing, assembly, and material handling, boasting a 1600mm diameter work envelope. The earlier s650H Quattro model provides a maximum work envelope diameter of 1300mm. Like earlier Quattro models, the s800H is powered by ultra-compact controls and embedded amplifiers, which reduces cycle times and improves footprint efficiency. The patented four-arm Quattro design contributes to reducing power consumption by 23 percent when compared to alternate kinematic solutions, says the vendor.
