Auto Manufacturers Boost North American Robotics Adoption

Robotic installations in the North American manufacturing industry rose 12% in 2022.

Auto manufacturers are the number one adopter of robotics in North America, according to the International Federation of Robots. The number of total manufacturing installations in 2022 rose to 41,624 units, rivaling 2018’s all-time high.

North America as a whole represents one of the largest operational stocks of industrial robots in the world, second only to China. This could be in part due to demand from car and component manufacturers rising 48% in the United States in 2022.
