As a Remote I/O Master, users can upgrade existing A-B PLC systems without replacing or re-wiring the I/O; just exchange the A-B PLC CPU with a Smart SoftPLC controller.  Users can even re-use most or all of the existing logic and program documentation using the automated application conversion utilities.  Up to 32 racks are supported. As a Remote I/O Slave, a Smart Gateway can act as a bridge between an A-B PLC and many other devices on other protocols, or users can add the company’s Tealware I/O to an A-B PLC system.  A single slave can appear as multiple racks to the A-B PLC.
