The STE-6104C-T unit allows almost any serial device to be connected to a new or existing Ethernet network, giving the user the ability to easily monitor, manage and control industrial field devices remotely. Flexible configuration options enable it to be setup over Ethernet by Telnet, Web browser, serial console, or other utilities. It is packaged in a rugged metal housing for DIN rail or wall mount with 9-48VDC wide power input range, and has a wide operating temperature of -40° C to 80° C for harsher environments. Unit comes equipped with Virtual COM software that provides existing Windows based applications to access a serial device by mapping to a remote serial server via Ethernet. It is also used as a field device to connect Ethernet through TCP/IP protocol directly.
