The transmitter converts the rate of pulsed, sinusoidal and other periodic waveform input signals to a proportional 0-20 mA, 0-10 V, or ±10 VDC output. The signal conditioner accepts unipolar and bipolar input signals with amplitudes up to 120 Vrms (±170 VDC) and frequencies up to 100 kHz. Setting input/output ranges and other operating parameters is easy using a PC with free configuration software and a convenient USB connection to the transmitter. Common uses involve monitoring power line frequency, flow rates, rotational speed, and periodic events. A flexible power requirement (12-32 VDC), wide temperature range (-40 to 80 °C), and rugged design make the unit suitable for many applications, even in hazardous locations (Class 1, Div 2, Zone 2).
