Industrial Automation Companies Report ESG Wins

Emerson and RS Group both reported significant decreases in Scope 1 and 2 emissions in their recent ESG reports

Emerson and RS Group recently released their 2022 environmental, social and governance (ESG) reports, emphasizing the continued importance global leaders put on ESG practices and reporting.

In its 2022 ESG report, Emerson reported a 42% reduction in its Scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2018 and a 1.1% reduction in Scope 3 emissions since 2021. Additionally, the company has procured 30% of the electricity for its locations from renewable sources.

RS Group’s ESG Report for 2022/23, based on its ESG action plan entitled “For a Better World,” reported a 58% drop in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 28% drop in Scope 3 transportation emissions intensity since 2019/20, primarily through modal shifts from air to sea or air to road and sourcing, storing and shipping more products locally.
