Rotary Inductive Sensors

March 8, 2011
TURCK introduces rotary inductive sensors, a new line of inductive analog sensors that provide 360-degree angular measurement.

The rotary inductive sensors utilize resistance inductive capacitance (RLC) measuring technology, rather than a traditional magnetic positioning element—delivering complete immunity to EMC interference.

TURCK rotary inductive sensors are IP67 rated, with a temperature range of -40 to 70 °C, making the devices perfect for measuring the angle of solar panels, wind turbine blade position, crane position, and other outdoor applications. The sensor and its positioning element are designed as separate pieces, allowing the positioning element to be mounted in a variety of unique ways—including directly onto a rotating shaft—without experiencing the wear common to these types of sensors.
