Reversible Intelligent Motor Controller

Feb. 16, 2011
Trombetta’s reversible Intelligent Motor Controller can be customized to meet DC motor application requirements.

The costeffective Intelligent Motor Controller is capable of switching loads up to 100 amps and providing dynamic braking along with smooth transitions between forward and reverse directions. The controller can incorporate pre-set limits to protect the electrical system, including over-voltage protection, over-current protection, over-temperature shut down, low-voltage disconnect, end of travel/ stalled motor detection.

In addition, the Intelligent Motor Controller can be customized to provide advanced controls such as proportional speed, programmed acceleration/deceleration, and battery separation in multi-battery systems.

"Ideal for DC motor applications, the Intelligent Motor Controller is a robust device that significantly increases motor control functionality, while reducing the footprint and cost," said Charles Trayner, National Sales Manager at Trombetta.

Featuring a voltage range of 6V DC to 48V DC and a IP66/67 rating, the Intelligent Motor Controller is ideal for controlling DC Motors used in applications such as: switchgear; truck/train tarp systems; winches/windlasses; bow thrusters; boat lifts; truck lifts; gun turrets; snow plows; RV slides/ RV stabilizing; solar panel positioning, electro-hydraulic door systems, and various other electro-hydraulic applications.

Pricing is in the $50 to $200 range for volumes as low as 1,000 pieces with a lead time of 20 weeks.
