ID Scanners Fit Tight Spaces

Sept. 3, 2010
Barely larger than a USB plug, a CLV500 Series miniature bar code scanner can be easily installed where space is extremely limited, says the vendor.
The CLV500 Series is also designed for easy configuration via its online tool and configuration bar codes. These mini bar code scanners are said to boast excellent decoding performance, with a large depth-of-field that allows for flexibility in code size and target placement. This ultra-compact series is well-suited for applications in the OEM and machine builder marketplace, such as packaging systems, circuit board processing and robotic inspection. Due to its high scanning frequency of 1,000Hz, the CLV505 is suitable for conveyor speeds of up to 5m/s. One of the smallest 1D barcode scanners available, the series also offers fast and easy commissioning using an online tool, with no new software necessary.SICK Inc.www.sickusa.com800.325.7425
