Durable, Locking Wiring Devices

June 4, 2010
A line of Bryant locking and straight-blade plugs, connectors and receptacles are available in 15-, 20- and 30-amp models.
Locking plugs and connectors are constructed with impact and chemical-resistant nylon housings and feature an internal Triple Gripper cord clamp that automatically centers and secures the cord. A configuration-specific plug face surrounds plug blades to prevent infiltration of contaminants. Extended “teardrop” wiring pockets and backed-out captive terminal screws simplify wiring. Locking receptacles are designed with back and side wiring terminals that accept 14 to 8 gauge solid or stranded conductor wires. Straight-blade devices are available in 15 to 30 amp sizes. A universal cord grip design accepts 0.300-in. to 0.655-in. (7.6mm to 16.6mm) wire sizes. Available high-visibility lockouts provide additional protection. The OSHA lockout/tagout regulation compliant devices are designed to protect against unexpected start-up of equipment during maintenance and repair work. The lockouts are available in three sizes. Locking plugs start at $6.25. Receptacle prices start at $4.75. Prices for straight-blade plugs and connectors start at $6.25. Lockout prices start at $12.25.AutomationDirectwww.automationdirect.com800.633.0405
