Safe Disconnect in CT Shorting

May 6, 2009
ME test disconnect terminal blocks are designed to provide safe disconnect capability between measuring transducers and safety equipment in current transformer (CT) shorting applications.
The screw-free disconnect lever provides visual indication of the switch’s position. The ME terminals can be used wherever high currents must be reduced using current transformers, and where high voltages are reduced with voltage transducers. To accomplish the safe disconnect, the operator places switchable ME test disconnect terminal blocks before the meter for measurement and maintenance. Each terminal block has a set of three bridging channels on either side of the disconnect lever. The pluggable shorting component can lock into one of the bridging channels, leaving two bridging channels available for use.Phoenix Contact Inc.www.phoenixcontact.com/meseries800.322.3225
