Pressure Gauges Resist Corrosion

Dec. 1, 2008
A line of safety pressure gauges designed for use in oil fields and refineries feature sensing elements made of 316L stainless steel or Monel to resist corrosion as well as polypropylene or phenolic cases to reliably protect the devices against aggressive substances.
Due to the high pressure typical during oil production and processing, the devices provide a solid front and a blow-out back for maximum security. The watertight instruments can be filled with dampening liquid. A special compensation diaphragm maintains high accuracy even with filled devices. For processes like alkylation, where temperatures of more than 400°C can be reached, a capillary tube can be mounted in front of the pressure gauge to reduce the temperature of the measuring device.Baumer Ltd.www.baumerprocess.com44 (0) 870.161.3000
