Improve Complex Process Control

Nov. 1, 2008
Loop-Pro Version 5 (v5) PID diagnostic and optimization software features non-steady state (NSS) modeling, which is said to improve control over complex production processes.
According to the vendor, NSS modeling enables v5 to handle a broader range of processes than other diagnostic and optimization software tools. Achieving and maintaining steady-state operation in plant operations is difficult, due to the large number of interacting process variables. Ensuring that all elements of a production process are “quiet” and stable prior to and during bump testing is often not feasible. By eliminating the requirement for steady-state operation prior to the performance of process “bump” tests, users of v5 with NSS no longer need to wait extended periods of time for processes to settle out, says the vendor, minimizing disruption to ongoing production.Control Station Inc.www.controlstation.com877.566.7776
