Drive Reduces Stop Times

Oct. 1, 2008
The J1000 AC drive is designed to reduce cost of ownership through its compact design, side-by-side mounting and the ability to operate a larger motor with the normal duty rating.
It also provides overexcitation braking, which in turn reduces stop times without the need for external braking resistors. Even faster stopping can occur, thanks to a standard internal braking transistor. For maintainability, both hardware and software peripherals such as DriveWizardPlus and the USB Copy Unit (Y-Stick) may be used, allowing file storage that can be used to program multiple drives quickly or for future back-up use. Additionally, lifetime monitors continuously monitor the health of the key components. It is available with from 1/8 to 7.5 horsepower. Yaskawa Electric America Inc. www.yaskawa.com 800.927.5292
