The PACSystems RX3i CPU320 incorporates the Intel 1 GHz processor to provide unprecedented speed and performance, says the vendor. The CPU320 is well-suited for applications where the processing power of the current controller has been pushed to the limit. In addition to the increased performance, the CPU320 has 64Mbytes of user memory available. Key features of the RX3i CPU320 include two built-in communication ports, configurable data and program memory. The CPU320 can be programmed in Ladder Diagram, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, and C. The CPU supports Symbolic Variables addressing and more than 32K of discrete and analog I/O. The processor supports up to 512 program blocks with a maximum size for a block is 128KB.
