Linear Actuators For Higher Resolution

May 9, 2007
As the newest addition to the vendor’s family of linear actuators, the size 14 hybrid linear actuators are now available with a 0.9 degree step angle.
Like the 1.8 degree version, this actuator is available in all four designs: captive, non-captive, external linear, and linear rotary. Combined with a stainless steel lead screw, the linear actuator delivers an extremely smooth, precise motion, says the vendor, and is designed for applications that require long life, reliability, precise positioning and rapid motion. This new step angle is designed for higher resolution and allows for a full step linear movement of 1.6 microns.
