The IndraDrive with Safety-On-Board has reaction times up to 400 times faster than conventional solutions that use contactors to produce a safe stop, says the vendor. The system saves costs by eliminating hardware and wiring for additional I/O. Because the Safe Motion technology is integrated directly into the drive, motion controllers regardless of manufacturer are able to leverage the technology. Safe Motion technology is certified according to EN 954-1, Category 3.
