Controller Provides Speed Boost

April 10, 2007
The Viking III controller is designed for use with the vendor’s 2300 and 2500 Critical Control and Safety Systems.
Compared to its predecessor, the Viking II, the Viking III will significantly improve the speed of execution of floating point calculations, such as PID controls, Fuzzy Logic, and advanced C++ algorithms, support for all of which are included in the vendor’s NetSuite software package. When applying the 2500 Critical Control and Safety System, the Viking III gives the user the option of selecting a fixed scan time of 15msec or 25msec as opposed to the fixed 25msec scan available with the Viking II. Like the Viking II, the Viking III is based on the Intel Celeron processor.
