Fast Color Line Scan Camera

Jan. 15, 2007
The vendor’s family of line scan cameras has been expanded to include a Piranha Color model.
Billed as having the fastest line rates for color line scan cameras, the Piranha Color is available in 2k or 4k resolutions with line rates up to 33kHz. The vendor’s tri-linear sensor technology—which uses three sensors on one die, one each for red, green and blue—maximizes color performance. Minimal line spacing provides a significant advantage and cost-savings when considered against more expensive prism-based color cameras and their required lenses, says the vendor. Piranha Color offers easy setup, built-in flat field correction, and an industry standard Camera Link interface. The Piranha Color will be available in the
first quarter of 2007.
