Ethernet Gateways Join I/O Line

Aug. 1, 2006
The vendor’s BL67 line of modular I/O is now available with Ethernet gateways, augmenting the current available gateways: DeviceNet, Profibus-DP and CANopen.

The BL67 Ethernet gateways interface with Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP. The Ethernet protocol is used to exchange time critical information between industrial devices such as sensors and actuators, or complex devices such as robots and programmable logic controllers. BL67 gateways are designed to interface modular fieldbus nodes to the higher level Ethernet fieldbus. BL67 Ethernet gateways coordinate the entire I/O data exchange and generate detailed diagnostic information for the control platform.
