Prevent Process Corrosion

June 1, 2006
Process engineers have access to the industry’s first process simulator that is integrated with a corrosion analyzer, says the vendor, thanks to an exclusive partnership with OLI Systems Inc.

The vendor’s UniSim Designsimulation system now offers OLI’s Corrosion Analyzer and Mixed Solvent Electrolyte framework and databases. This will enable users to more acurately design processes involving electrolytes, as well as predict corrosion that results from those processes. By helping engineers determine the cause of corrosion in a process before it happens, the new capability will enable them to take preventative measures and reduce downtime.
