Automation Change Manager is an electronic database-management and documentation system that allows industrial plant personnel to document and track changes across various of the vendor’s automation systems and those of third parties.
“In the past, plant engineers had to manually research relationships between various databases, control language programs and substation schematics,” says Harry Sim, vice president of marketing at the vendor. “Automation Change Manager saves time by giving instant access to up-to-date information across all subsystems. This allows engineers, operators and maintenance technicians to spend less time researching data between systems and more time focusing on performance initiatives.” Automation Change Manager incorporates Integrity software from PAS Inc. to provide documentation and change tracking capability to the vendor’s Experion Process Knowledge System and other of the vendor’s solutions, as well as those of third parties. New features include cross-reference reports that identify relationships between automation systems, and browser-based views that offer data access over user intranets and extranets. The application also provides comprehensive audit trails that help industrial facilities comply with federal regulations and international quality standards.
