The ADAM-4570W is designed to be a cost-effective data gateway between RS-232/422/485 and 802.11b wireless LAN interfaces.

The ADAM-4570W is functionally transparent, efficient and cost-effective when legacy H/W and S/W must continue to be used, says the vendor. It bring the advantage of remote management and data accessibility to RS-232/422/485 devices that cannot connect to the Wireless Ethernet network. The ADAM-4570W supports 802.11b, wireless LAN ad-hoc and infrastructure modes, transmission speed up to 230kbps, advanced security to avoid unauthorized access, auto-reconnections, remote firmware downloading, and easy-to-use Port Mapping Utility, Windows 98/NT/2000/XP systems, surge protection for the serial line and power input, and automatic RS-485 data flow control. The ADAM-4570W is priced at $375.
