A family of media converters enable users to convert electrical Ethernet signals into optical Ethernet signals and vice-versa, when long cable distances between elements dictate the need for fiber optic cables.
The media converters convert electrical signals from RJ45 ports to multimode optical ports via SC- and ST-style connectors respectively. Both models support full or half duplex operation, set by two front-panel DIP switches. The media converters include LEDs for convenient front-panel diagnostics. Offered with a five-year warranty, the converters are rated for IP20 environments and are cULus 508 Listed. Designed to be efficient, the converters require just 40mm of DIN-rail space and consume only 4 watts of power. They feature low voltage AC or DC power and redundant power connections to keep networks running smoothly.
