Miniature Photoelectric Sensors

June 1, 2005
The BOS 2K family of photoelectric sensors feature a miniature 20-by-7.5-by-10mm package, yet offer the same functionality found in much larger sensors.

Scan range is up to 1.2 meters. BOS 2K sensors offer four different sensing modes: diffuse, for part identification; diffuse with background suppression, for part configuration and placement; retroreflective, for parts verification and counting; and thru-beam for part sizing and position information. BOS 2K sensors can be easily attached in slots, pockets, guide rails or wherever a sensor is needed, says the vendor. Each sensor contains a pinpoint LED emission feature that offers the precision of a laser for exact aiming and positioning. An IP67 rated plastic housing offers protection in harsh environments.
